Treasurer’s
Report: Treasury doing well. We have $1854.35 now in the treasury, minus
$600-700 expenses for WASCA, which will bring balance back up to approximately $1300. Dues are now due.
We
received lots of good comments about new floor in Round Dance room
EDUCATION
CLINIC: Rose said we need to support the
clinics, even if you don’t think you need that particular subject. Dom said we should know the subject of the
clinic at least a month in advance of the clinic. We need better response to emails when asked
for input.
LIBRARY: Butch & Peggy Bloxom are the only ones
who have borrowed the Roundalab DVDs.
RDTA
Hospitality Room: Good response. We
started with 5 cases of soda, have about 1 and ½ left. Have lots of food left over, because others
brought food. It was suggested we have a
guest book next year.
Ralph
Collipi: Had open heart surgery,
replaced one valve and had quadruple bypass.
What do we want to do for Ralph?
Butch suggested we send a basket of fruit or flowers because Ralph &
Joan have always supported RDTA. After
some discussion, it was decided that RDTA would take a collection. Dom & Joan will be visiting them in a few
weeks and will use the money collected to take a fruit basket to them for us.
BUTTERFULY
BALL: Date is set for May 12th. Dom needs to know who will be available.
Dom
will take care of the flyer.
NEW
BUSINESS:
New
members: Tim moved we accept Joe &
Peggy Dungan as full members-teachers in
Tim
also nominated Roger & Connie Cox as apprentice members. They were working with Adcocks, and will be
working under mentorship by Tim and Nana Eum.
Margaret
nominated Dave & Ruth Phillips as apprentice members. They are working with Alice & Lonnie
Harden’s dance group.
EDUCATION
WORKSHOP: Steve Brandt is willing to
come down and provide, for $150.00, a clinic on Foxtrot techniques.
WASCA
NOONTIME CUEING: Do we want to volunteer
to cue for Friday lunch hour as well as Saturday next year? We had 20+ couples in the hall at all
times. We decided not to work on Friday
because most of the cuers are involved in learning the high-level teach being
taught at the same time.
Peg
Dungan said she had heard a lot of comments from dancers that the Phase 2-4
halls were too difficult. It was
suggested that we invite the
