Butch and Peggy Bloxom began square dancing in 1984 cueing in 1986 and taught their first beginner round dance class in 1988. They have taught many beginner classes and cue and teach from Phase II through Phase VI.

They belong to Roundalab, National Cuer’s Association, RDTA, Round Dance Teachers of the Greater Washington DC Area, Dixie Round Dance Council, Universal Round Dance Council and the Shenandoah Valley Callers and Cuer’s Association.

The Bloxoms cue for two square dance clubs, the Gad-Abouts in Hagerstown, Maryland and the Rivermont Ramblers in Front Royal, Virginia. They also cue for two round dance organizations in Winchester, Virginia, Bloxom’s Bunch and a Phase IV-VI Workshop and The Shadow Vines Round Dance Club in Warrenton, Virginia. They have cued for many dance weekends, national square dance conventions, and various state festivals in Virginia, West Virginia and Pennsylvania.

Butch and Peggy are the parents of two sons, Gregory from Pensacola, Florida and Jeffrey from Winchester, Virginia. They have 5 wonderful grand children. They reside in Winchester, Virginia with their Cocker Spaniel named Maggie Ann and a very hard headed tom cat named “The Puss” who rules the home.
