Rose and John began square dancing in 1976 and began round dancing
in 1991. They studied for six years with an ISTD (Imperial Society
of Teachers of Dancing) qualified ballroom instructor. They have
taught line dancing and social dancing (weddings, church groups,
etc.). They are members of ROUNDALAB and RDTA as well as having
established ties with the swing dance community in the Washington DC
area.
Rose is the primary dance instructor and John handles equipment,
music, and cueing duties to support Rose’s instruction (what more
can you expect of an old music major). They believe that music and
dance enhance one’s quality of life and that people should enjoy
their dancing experience.
